The water was still rising.
Nice little water fall....
This is when the flood waters began to recede.
Our canoe in the back is floating.
VJ, not a happy camper...
A new river is formed about 100 yards off course...
The water continues to recede.. Thankfully!
A little pond in the back yard still, at least it was not river still...
These pics were taken when I first got home, around 10:30 AM. The water was just rising.
These were taken after I moved our bikes to safety out of the garage. At this point, the water rose above the top step in the garage (5"+). This was coming up to the peak height of the flood waters.
During the peak height of the flood water, we were too busy to barricading the basement door trying to prevent the basement from completely flooding out.
We were lucky we didn't lose it....
That's VJ w/ a hand pump clearing out the water between the basement door and the sandbags.
My mom and her friend Sonny came to our rescue with some sandbags....
The neighborhood with a big ass river taking away everyone's yards....
